Emy and District Anglers PRO Enda Fields reports on the activity on the lake ths week. Fishing update:- Due to the recent cold spell, fishing conditions have been challenging, with only a few brave souls venturing out. Shore fishing is very difficult, presently, due to the high water level so any fishing is confined to boat. Co Louth angler Mick McShane netted a lovely fish recntly on his silver dabbler variant tying. Hopefully things will warm up by the end of the month and into April and the lake levels are dropped enough to fish the shoreline. Tight lines!
Trout Stocking: – Many thanks to Leo Mc Mahon and Jimmy Mc Kenna, for helping with our recent spring annual stocking programme.
Catch & Release: – To conserve trout stock, we encourage all members to practice catch & release on Emy.

River and lake litter clean up 2013:- Our club requires help on Saturday morning April 13th (from 10.30am-1pm) for our annual litter clean up in association with Donagh Development Association & Monaghan County Council Environmental section.
