Angling guide and APGAI-Ire Instructor Eamonn Conway was out and about recently on the upper reaches of the River Fane. Eamonn described the fishing as “deadly”! The trout were taking plenty of flies off the top and Eamonn had plenty of trout on dry olives sizes 18 and 20. Eamonn also noticed some big trout were starting to target roach and perch fry so he changed to a streamer, and had good success. He had some vicious attacks at the fly. The weather was very hot and there is a lot of weed up so accurate casts are vital for success according to Eamonn.

Eamonn Conway is one of the countries top angling guides and a qualified APGAI Ireland Instructor. If you fancy a days guided fishing with Eamonn why not drop him an email at [email protected] or give him a call at 086 1242966
