During the past week, trout fishing on Pallas Lake has blossomed to a point that most of the anglers fishing the lake are experiencing fantastic fishing according to Gearoid Kirwan.

Successful anglers Charlie Lawlor, Mark Daly and John Keogh have been reaping the rewards of fishing Pallas Lake at the right time with all anglers catching fine quality fighting fish. Most anglers are reporting high volumes of fish feeding both on and beneath the surface.

Local angler Noel Egan reported fantastic sport during the week and has recorded some unbelievable fishing. Most of these fish include rainbows in the 1 3/4lb range and one over wintered brown trout over 3 ½ lb. Large numbers of Damsels and sedges are been observed hatching throughout the day and during the evening by anglers.

Successful flies include Damsels, Daiwl Bachs, Welshmans Button, Green Peter, Daddy-long-legs and Buzzers.
