The Trout Anglers Federation of Ireland (TAFI) is to host the World Youth Fly Fishing Championship and conservation-orientated educational program between 21st and 26th of July 2013.
The hosting of this prestigious event is the result of many years of dedicated voluntary work by TAFI members, both promoting youth angling in Ireland and also sending a youth team to fish in the World Youth Championship since its formation in 1998. We see this Championship as been of great benefit to Ireland as this event will receive International Press coverage in Fishing and other media outlets across the world. It will also introduce young anglers from the various countries to Ireland and should result in return visits in the future.
The opening ceremony is been held in Dundalk with the Carrickdale Hotel in County Louth as the championship headquarters. This unique event will attract a large amount of anglers and visitors to Ireland in 2013 and beyond. For more information log onto www.wyffc.com
