The Annual 5 day Lough Gowna Festival 2014 took place on Killykeen, Rosduff, Corfree and Dernaferst North with 72 anglers taking part.
Congratulations to Wayne Easter from Scunthorpe, UK and this year’s winner of the FITZPATRICK’S GOWNA FESTIVAL Wayne competed against 71 anglers to pick up the first prize of €1000 for his 106.740kg caught over the five days.
The top three were presented with crystal and their cash prizes at the presentation yesterday evening at Fitzpatrick’s Tavern & Guesthouse, Gowna. [www.fitzpatrickstavern.ie]

In addition Matchcraft Fishingtackle sponsored a prize for the biggest weight on the day – a 6 leg platform awarded to Dave ‘Oggy’ Robinson.
Fabulous fishing was enjoyed by everyone on the Cavan venues.
