Alice Murtagh Admin Assistant – North Western River Basin District at Corlesmore reports on Coarse fishing for the Counties of Cavan and Leitrim.
Swan Lake Lough Gowna continues to fish well with plenty of fish, mostly Roach and some Tench. Kevins Shore and Dernaferst North on Lough Gowna along with nearby Gulladoo are reported to be producing good catches of fish with hybrids dominating. Killykeen at the deeps and grassy bank match section also giving good mixed catches with some Bream up to 5 lb. Good returns are reported at the Derries Lower including good Bream. Good mixed bags are being reported from Town Lake Killeshandra with bags up to 40 lb. Some French anglers who are Pike fishing report good sized Pike in all areas and good Trout are being caught on the Annalee and Dromore River near Cootehill.
