The Government has announced initial funding of €2 million to develop and enhance visitor facilities around Lough Derg.
The news was delivered on Tuesday by Nenagh based Minister of State Alan Kelly, who said the funding was the first tranche in an overall investment of €10.5 million planned for enhancing the lakeland area over the next five years.
Minister Kelly said the funding would be used to develop amenities such as picnic areas, boat slipways, toilet facilities and scenic areas…..
