SUSTAINABLE WATER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS IN THE BLACKWATER RIVER CATCHMENT

STREAMSCAPES WORKSHOPS presented by the COOMHOLA SALMON TRUST will be hosted by local community groups in September 2014.

TRUAGH DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION hosting the North Monaghan/border areas, meet at the Blackwater Centre, Knockconan, Truagh at 7 pm Mon 15th Sept.

BALLINODE TIDY TOWNS hosting the Knockatallon, Scotstown, Tydavnet and Monaghan areas, meet at river park below Ballinode bridge at 7 pm and after return to Ballinode Community Hall TUE. 16TH Sept

EMY AND DISTRICT ANGLERS hosting Emyvale, Glaslough, Tyholland and Clontibret areas, meet at the Emyvale Enterprise Centre at 7pm and after at Emyvale Leisure Centre WED 17th Sept

Where weather permits – the workshop will commence at a local river at 7pm and group will go indoors to hall around 7.45. Wear suitable clothing and footwear.

The workshops are designed to increase awareness on river corridor ecology and water quality; help reconnect communities with their river catchment, discuss best practice and promote community initiatives and environmental projects.
