Fisheries Awareness Week………..Open Day at CARRIGAVANTRY RESERVOIR…..Saturday May 10th.2014

Come along to one of our family fun events. Fly casting lessons and free Demo on Fly fishing .See  how to tie flies. Take a walk along the reservoir bank and enjoy the environment. Discover the natural beauty of the reservoir lake . Youths(boys and girls ) with their parents/grandparents are particularly welcome to come and learn how to flyfish . Bring your rod and lifejacket if available.Some spare rods will be on site. A special GENERATION flyfishing competition is arranged for the day. Father and son /Grandparent and grandchild will be the combination. Open to the public young and old , children particularly welcome . No charge. Lots of great prizes.

Waterford city and county trout anglers association in combination with Inland Fisheries Ireland are organizing the event and hope to introduce youth to the flyfishing facilities so close to Waterford city.
