Lindsey Clarke reports from OWENEA FISHERY – Monday 22nd to Tuesday 30th September 2014.
The season ended with the last nine days of the season bringing no rain to speak of. The river remained very low and conditions were very bright for the most part. The very low gauge average of 0.06 metres tells the story! Only 3 rods fished over the week for 5 rod days and I have no reports of any salmon caught. A disappointing season overall I would say with very little in the way of floods for the greater part of the season.
