North east angling guide Eamonn Conway reports that the sea-trout fishing in the north-east is in full flight at the moment with plenty of small sea-trout being caught at night on the Castletown river. A few bigger ones are also being caught and returned.

Despite thee being little rain, a fresh run of small sea-trout entered the system recently and are providing good sport for local anglers. Fishing small sea-trout patterns slowly in the dark is working well for most anglers and some sea-trout are also being caught during the day on nymphs fished in the runs leading into pools.
