Alvey Kemp took a couple of days to fish with Peter Aspinwall, Clonakilty’s best kept secret. Alvey and his trusty hound, Derry, were treated to some truly excellent bass angling. His best day saw 9 bass landed on sand eel, all good fish with many between 6 and 7lb. Alvey was full of praise for Peter’s skills telling us he was one of the most professional, capable guides he had ever fished with.
Derry, the German Shepard, felt she had worked hard to bring the guide and angler to such success and so while Peter was engaged in landing yet another bass for Alvey, she took the opportunity to eat all the sandwiches.
