Mike Dennehy, skipper of the Silver Dawn out of Kinsale reports that the fishing out of Kinsale is going well at the moment…
Great fishing this week on board the Kinsale based Silver Dawn with plenty of large haddock to 6.5lb, and two specimen whiting to 3.2lb for Albie O’Sullivan and Paul Ross.
Never before have I seen such large numbers of big whiting. Lots of large Pollack also. Mackerel are very plentiful thankfully.
On Saturday we had the pleasure of finding a super pod of common dolphin several hundred strong – an amazing sight.
Tight lines,
Mike Dennehy
