Ardaire Springs Angling Centre in Mooncoin fished well during the week. Ned Maher tells us that after the welcome rain on June 6th fishing has improved big time. Ned himself caught a fine rainbow (pictured below) on a new fly he just got in from Bann Valley Flies. Ardaire has a large range of Bann Valley Flies in stock including salmon doubles and singles.
Later in the evening Dave Cronin with his daughters it didn’t take long until they landed this fine rainbow much to the delight of the two girls.
Conditions on Saturday were super in the morning with Jim landing 9 fish in early morning including a brownie of 8lbs 6 oz. followed quickly by Mikey and Ned himself with 6.5lb and 7lbs fish.
Later in the day the big fish prize fund was won by Adriano Tempesta with a fantastic brownie of 10 lbs 1 oz – €490 well done to Adriano.
Yesterday Fergal Power caught a cracking rainbow and Waterford man Shane Walsh also got in on the act ! (pictured above)
