Eamonn Conway reports that the River Fane is in perfect fishing condition at the moment, the flow and water clarity is just right, the trout are in good taking form and they are responding well to the dry fly for this time of year. There are good hatches of olives happening throughout the day and the trout are feeding very well on them. While guiding on the river over the past few days my clients have been catching a lot of trout on nymphs, New Zealand style, dry fly and also on traditional wets, the nymphs were doing most of the work, the Fane is worth a cast over the next week or so before the water gets too low.
