Gerry Friel, from the Creeslough Angling Club reports on more fantastic sport from Lough Na Tooey Rainbow Trout Fishery in Creeslough.
Gerry reports that the month of June was without doubt one of the best ever.
The average trout size was reported at slightly under 2 lbs, with 9 fish recorded over 4lbs, 5 over 6 lbs and a fantastic trout estimated at 8lbs !
The fishery is open to visiting anglers with 2 shifts in operation for the summer period; 9am – 3pm and 4pm – 10 pm. The fishing is fly only, by boat only and adult 1 fish tickets for only €20 per session. Under 16s accomanied by a paying adult angler are free !
Permits and boat hire are available from Lafferty’s filling station in Creeslough.
