Lindsey Clarke reports  from LOUGH MELVIN – Monday 30th June to Sunday 6th July 2014

Lough Melvin was still very low this week and it seems few grilse are running the river in the low water conditions. Salmon angling was quiet and there is little to report. However, the trout fishing was fairly good this week. A good few rods reported good fishing on wet fly for Sonaghan over the deep water. The deep water drifts out from Rossinver and all the way across to the Planting Shore produced good fishing.
