Fermoy AC report on the Fermoy Autumn Festival…

The River Blackwater was very low river (summer levels) for the Fermoy Autumn Festival held over three days last week. There was lots of Dace about but they just wouldn’t feed; we could see them topping all over and this made the fishing very peggy.

Brian Webb, Swindon was winner this year with 35lb 1ozs, Brian and his wife Jane have been long time supporters of our Fermoy festivals. The next two positions went to lads who have moved to live in Ireland from the UK. 2nd Trevor Platt, Cork/Manchester Trevs Tackle Ireland with 34lb 5ozs, 3rd Peter Turner, Cork/Swindon with 31lb 10ozs.
