There was a great turn out for the first Royal Enfield CAC 5 hour match of 2015 and the anglers were rewarded with some exceptional canal fishing for the time of year.
Seanie Ward (Trabucco Ireland), Propsperous CAC was fishing the pole to 11m with maggot’s & pinkies for his fine catch of 16lbs 6oz to win the day. His net consisted of 1 bream caught on worm, hybrids up to 6oz, a handful of perch and roach of 1-6oz.
Second place with 10lb 2ozs was Brendan (Jack) Langan, Prosperous CAC. In third place and worthy of a special mention was junior angler Liam McEvilly, Royal Enfield CAC with 9lb 9ozs. Very well done Liam.
Super fishing all round with 4th placed Brian Kane 7lb 14ozs and in 5th Colin Oilver with 7lb 9ozs.
