Royal Enfield Festival on the Royal Canal, Co. Kildare

Clear waters and bright sunshine presented the local and overseas anglers fishing this annual festival on the Royal Canal with challenging fishing. It was local angler Conor Browne who came out tops with the winning weight and fine nets of roach on both days for 9lbs 5oz and 14lbs 7oz and a festival win. Mike White from the UK finished in second place with Pat Barley finishing 3rd overall.

In his absence Robert Buick of East Belfast Coarse Angling Club and winner of the Edenderry Coarse Angling Club’s recent festival was also awarded the Fred Moss Memorial Cup. Well done Robert.
To mark his upcoming retirement after 41yrs with Waterways Ireland Royal Enfield also made a presentation to Willie Rigney for his services.
