NCFFI report on the Youth Team:
The fourth and final qualifier to select the youth teams to fish in Portugal took place recently on the River Suck at Donamon kindly hosted by Suck Valley Angling Hub
A total of 19 juniors fished the four hour, Pole only event in good weather conditions, that saw mainly small fish being caught.

The top weight and Under23 age group winner was Jamie Edwards, Carrickmacross AC who landed for 2.270Kgs of small Roach and Perch. Runner up in the U23 group was Aaron Nabc Hutchman East Belfast Coarse Angling Club with 1.900Kgs, Kieran Kelly, Erne Anglers was third with 1.780kgs.
In the Under 18 age group Darragh McKenzie Ballyhaunis Angling Club won with a catch of 2.280Kgs. James O’Doherty Erne Anglers AC was a close second catching 2.180kgs with Harry Whitehead Erne Anglers third with 1.560kgs.
Youth Team Manager Jack Tisdall and his support team would like to take this opportunity to thank all those for taking part in the process. The Youth Teams for the World Championships in Portugal will be announced at the end of October.
