There was a great turn out for the first leg of the Reel Wars at Oaklands Lake Fishery in New Ross. The Shop side of the lake produced the bigger weights in the lovely sunshine. The anglers on the far bank in the shade struggled to catch. Oaklands CAC will take a lead into the sea leg which they will probably need as the roles will be reversed on the 11th of October at Arthurstown.

Oaklands Lake is a magnificent 4.5 acre man-made lake situated just outside the town of New Ross in the beautiful County Wexford. It is stocked with Carp, 14lb plus, Tench, Rudd and Bream. It has 60 stands, all Wheelchair Friendly, toilets, Tea/Coffee and Cold Drinks. There is also a fully stocked Tackle Shop on site.
