Anglers on the Drowes experienced mixed conditions last week, Shane Gallagher reports on all the catches:

27 March It has been a pretty mixed week on both the fishing and weather front. Saturday and Sunday were dry, bright days with good conditions apart from the sunshine. Despite the largest number of rods out since opening day, only one fish was recorded over the weekend, Pauric Deeny’s fish on fly from the Spa Well.

During the week fishing fared a little better with only Wednesday drawing a blank. The week turned occasionally very cold and heavy rain on Wednesday raised water levels which currently stand at 0.638 metres.
