John Mc Laughlin from the Lough Swilly Angling Centre reports:
The Gweebarra system opened on the 1st of April and Local Angler, Michael Devine had the first fish of the season from Peters’ Point on the fly.
The fish weighed 8lbs and fell to a Green Highlander.

The Schoales brothers, Patrick and Sean had a great day on Friday, April 3.

Patrick had a fish of 10 lbs and Sean had a fish of 9 lbs, both on a Garry dog tube fly from the flats and the furnace respectively.

I have also had unconfirmed reports of 3 other fish from last week.
Permits are available from the old post office shop in Doochary.
