There was enough of a cool breeze to warrant a warm hat…

Other Kerry bass reports

Tomasz Ekert reports in his blog Sea Bass Hunting that in recent days he had a few bass on lures from Rock marks and sandy beaches.

Last week I had to fish the Iveragh Penninsula in search of bass as I could find none around Dingle. The chance of scenery was more than worth it and I had 6 bass, tagged and released.

This week, 22 April, I was back to my normal stomping grounds and had some lovely fish on hard lures from some sandy beach marks.. If you catch a tagged bass don’t forget to report it to IFI.

If you catch a bass with a yellow tag, please don’t remove the tag. Note the code on the tag (e.g. B-00001). If possible take a length and weight of the fish, and five scales from behind the pectoral fin (see link below for more details). Please then release the fish alive! Send us the details, along with the date and location and your name and phone number to [email protected].
