The May bank holiday weekend had a few visitors drifting across the Midlands writes Mick Flanagan from Midland Angling…
Alan Thomas of Carrickfergus was back down visiting relations, and got away for a few hours fishing. Alan has featured before in our angling slot, and loves the fishing and shooting game so naturally we got on quite well.
Alan has fished Owel and Ennell and fancied a day on Lene for pike and trout. We had a super few hours catching hard fighting rainbows, and colorful brownies on the troll and on fly. Plus after lunch we managed to boat a nice pike of 8-9lbs.
