Lough Lene was a hive of activity all last week reports Michael Flanagan…
Lough Lene is producing some good bags of fish at the moment. Unfortunately some individuals are ignoring the 3 fish bag limit, and club members are very concerned about the number of people fishing from the bank near the Cut. A lot of these anglers are day Ticket anglers and are well aware that it’s a 3 fish limit, as its printed on the ticket and they are well able to read English.
Membership is due in by March 17th and failure to pay by that date will result in loss of membership, and vacancies will be filled instantly from the waiting list. Adult is 60 Euro, O.A.P. 40 Euro and Juvenile set at 15 Euro. Day Tickets are set at 15 Euro and can be purchased in both shops in Collinstown.
Lough Lene Angling Association host their first trout competition if the season on Sunday March 22nd, and up for grabs is the Lough Lene Cup.
