Tommy Lawton reports on the first festival of the year at Inniscarra…
It proved to be cold the first couple of days of the long awaited for first festival of the season but on the final day the the temperatures improved and it was a lot more comfortable for fishing.
The first day presented the anglers with a bitterly cold easterly wind that made the fishing uncomfortable.
Shane Dunne and James O’Doherty had both 7500 to win today, 3rd Gavin Walsh with 7050, 4th Peter Jones 6500.

David Heron had some good skimmer bream

Shane Dunne was hot favourite going into the second day but he was going to the hardest section so changes to the leader board were predicted . First time visitor to Inniscarra, Kevin Laville took the festival win after catching a decent net of skimmers for 8900 on the final day. Young James O’Doherty NCFFI Junior Team Ireland came in a close second.
Kevin Laville took the festival win after catching a decent net of skimmers for 8.9kg on the final day

It was fantastic to see so many of our young anglers doing so well on this festival! 3rd Devid Herron, 4th Shane Dunne and 5th Tony Green. Well done to everyone.
