Monday day 1 of the competition saw near perfect conditions with a slight rise and colour in river after rain a few days prior the event. The winner today was Terry Morgan Leeds with 45lb 14ozs and was closely followed by Peter Hyde Leeds with 45lb 4ozs, Mark Johnson Reading was 3rd with 41lb 6ozs.

Rain in Kerry on Monday night saw a slight rise in the river on Tuesday so again the river was coloured on Wednesday and again good conditions to catch lots of Dace. Winner today was Tommy Lawton Fermoy with 43lb 8ozs, 2nd was Richard Dearlove Reading with 38lb 12ozs and 3rd was Trevor Platt Coachford 36lbs.

By Friday the colour was after dropping out so everyone knew Barnane would be tough and it was a struggle for all anglers going on this section but the other sections fished reasonably well. Winner on Friday was Steve Skelton Bristol with 23lb, 2nd Trevor Platt 20lb 8ozs and 3rd Peter Hyde with 19lb 10ozs.

Winner of Fermoy Autumn Festival 2016 was Peter Hyde Leeds with 73lb 6ozs, 2nd Tommy Lawton 70lb 12ozs and 3rd was Mark Johnson Reading with 69lb 6ozs.
