Killinarden Angling Initiative continue their great work in the community and report:
Last Wednesday ended our connecting community’s project with the Tallaght probation project, the venue was Laois Angling Centre and the target was, Carp, Tench and trout. I have to say it is a beautiful place with some great fishing. pristine carp and tench.

Thank you to Oisin from Inland Fisheries Ireland and DAI for his support on the day.
Kai will present Pieta house with a Cheque at their offices in Lucan
On the 28th of may 2016 we hosted Ireland’s first Fishing for Pieta event, we had 56 anglers from all over the country arrive at the venue and the fun and laughter began. The sun was hot, the wind was warm and the fishing was hard in some places.
But the one thing that we all wanted was to raise the awareness of suicide and mental health issues in Ireland, I think we can all safely say we did that.
This event was in the planning for 9 months and involved 100’s of people from all walks of life to come together so it could happen, there was a lot of hard work but dedication made it possible… read further Fantastic fun and €4,000 raised for Pieta House
