NCFFI NCFFI National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland report on the Pairs League:
The final round of the Canal Pairs League was again fished on the Grand Canal at Daingean using the town, golf course and Kileen gravel stretches on Sunday. The canal was in good form, coloured, full and with a steady show for a change. It was mostly small fish for everyone with the Town Stretch throwing up some lovely bream, skimmers to 1.5lb and roach.
The middle section fished well and gave Julian Kendrick an 11lb net securing the title for him and Colin Oliver. Conor Browne and Pat Bartley, second place favourites finished in third with Leo Aungiers’ 15lb catch also from the middle town section bringing him and Sean Ward into the second place position.
1- Julian Kendrick & Colin Oliver 32-4
2- Leo Aungier & Sean Ward 27-7.5
3- Pat Bartley & Conor Browne 26-4.5
4- Bob Hulme & Peter Nolan 18-13
That’s the Pairs League over for this year, thanks to everyone who took part. Leinster have now set the challenge to the top four of Newry Coarse Fish Angling Club‘s Ulster Canal Pairs to a match!
