AFTER all this time, I think I am entitled to a little self-indulgence. And so we come to “Water quality and recreational angling demand in Ireland”, published in the ‘Journal of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism’. This is serious research, mind you, by John Curtis and Brian Stanley for the ESRI. They were, after all, trying to find out what anglers want. After the question of what women want, this may well be one of life’s great puzzles…
