The NCFFI NCFFI National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland tell us:
This Sunday sees the first round of the Pairs league organised by the Leinster Council which takes place annually on the midlands canals. Running on a fortnightly basis on 10 & 31Jan and 14 & 28Feb the league pays out the top 3 Pairs on the day and overall top 3 league winners for an entry fee of €22 per match.
This popular event is open to everyone and there are 17 pairs already signed up for the first round this Sunday when it is likely sections of the Grand Canal at Daingean will feature.
