Guide Sean Jordan of Bass fishing Wexford reports:

I love this time of year when the weather plays ball, sea temp still good for another while yet. Catching up with fishing friends, and meeting new ones, lately I met Lough Derg guide Pierre Monjarret, & his dog “Guinness” http://www.pierremonjarret.com/fr/ after a brief introduction via a mutual friend, & a chat on tactics for the day, it was time to go, a 30 minute drive had us surveying the shoreline for any signs of activity.

There were a lot Mullet moving in all directions as the tide flooded, “Bass, & Mullet often roll together” I told Pierre, we quietly got into position where we wouldn’t spook them…. It wasn’t long before Pierre met his first Wexford Bass with an aggressive take on a sub-surface lure, & gave a feisty account of itself, before being released after a quick pic, he got another couple before a “double hook-up” with myself.

In all, a perfect day, with sunshine, fishing with friends old, & new….and some fish…….
