Martin McKenna PRO for the Emy and District Anglers sends us this early season update:
After our AGM the elected committee stayed the same as last year with one change in Leo Mc Mahon being elected as club president. A very popular decision as Leo has been a great help to the club over the years in respect to boat storage, help on stocking days and much more. The committee members are as follows .Chair, Dan Gormley, secretary, Dick Kernan , treasurer, Jimmy Skinnedar ,p.r.o. Martin Mc Kenna and President , Leo Mc Mahon.
The lake has been very low of late due to a problem with the sluice. This has been repaired thanks to the fisherys board and levels are now returning to normal. Pictures show a nice early brown caught on St Patrick’s day by one of our members and a lovely example of a rainbow caught on sat the 19th caught by Enda fields (youth coordinator) and returned. Many thanks to the fishery board for giving us a chance with the rainbows.
