Alice Murtagh from our office in Corlesmore, Co. Cavan, tells us that there are a lot of anglers in the region and all report good catches of fish.
Three anglers from Castleblaney have been fishing the Cavan area for the last few days and are getting good mixed bags of fish. One of their better catches was a 5lb2oz Tench which was safely returned to the water.
