Adrian Browne reports that there was a good turn out on Sunday for the )pen at Oaklands. The anglers enjoyed great weather and some lovely fish were caught.

Brenton Sweeney was also on the lake over the weekend. Using one of his favourite feeder methods, a 24 gramme guru method feeder combined with a 4 inch hooklength with banded hook, he caught 20 plus carp up to 5lb. An 8mm pellet was the best hookbait and he used 2 and 4mm pellets on the guru method feeder.
