A thirteen day (lucky for some) series of festivals commenced on Sunday in Coachford with the Guinness Cup Open. The Garden Centre which had been fished during the week by the Fermoy anglers performed well and provided the top weights.
It was great to see Guinness FEEDERFEST organiser Tommy Lawton pick up the cup for his 20.420kg winning catch. Munster anglers dominated the results table with Marcin Bobka in 2nd place with 16.340kg and 3rd Kevin Leahy with 14.660kg all from the Garden Centre.
Next up is the Hackett Cup which has returned to it original five-day duration this year. Good luck to all taking part including the England Internationals on the bank.
