With only three days remaining until the 2017 salmon season will come to an end, the Moy system produced just over 100 fish for the past week. Angling conditions remained poor throughout the week as high water levels persisted on most days. Angling effort was low and, as a consequence, only few catch reports were received.
Thierry Coulm reported that two of his clients were successful on the Cloongee Fishery. Gus Feillet and Guillaume Schreiner, both from France, caught a fish each while spinning. Stuart Longhurst, Germany, was among the few successful anglers who landed fish on the East Mayo water. After losing 2 fish, Stuart managed to land a nice eight pounder on fly.
