Billy Downes reports that as of of Thursday 13th of April the Laune fallen to a lovely 1.2m…

Ideal conditions especially after Spring Clean the river environment is in pristine condition. Unfortunately the members I have spoken to have not seen or heard of a salmon since Saturday. A few sea trout have been landed on the lower fisheries but not in the numbers we would like at this time of year.

The beautiful River Laune

Spring Clean 2017: Beautiful day on the Laune last Saturday. Sublime scenery swans and French visitors enjoying the setting. This was our tenth Spring Clean, its a pity to think that the Majestic Laune is still used a tip by some people. Gratitude to all members who participated and to Kerry Co Co and and Taisce for bags and gloves. It was wonderful to see so much great work being done by volunteers all along our roads which suffer from the same blight of dumping/vandalism.
