Tramore and Water Sea Angling Club fished the final leg of their Master Angler on Tuesday night on Tramore Beach.

They report that is was was a very cold night with the water more like a lake as it was very calm. At the end of the night there were 53 fish laned, mostly Dogfish, Flounder, Whitting, Coalfish and Bass. Nicky McEvoy had the longest fish on the night a Bass of 41 cms but the accolades go to Kevin Curran who came first and also won the 2017 Master Angler.

Results of the final club competition of 2017 are:

  • 1st. Kevin Curran 13 fish-417pts.
  • 2nd. Joe McEoy 12 fish-337pts.
  • 3rd. Nicky McEvoy 8 fish-224pts

Golden peg draw was no.4

Longest fish: Nicky McEvoy
Bass 41 cms.
