Stefan Martin from Killybegs Mariners SAC reports on the fishing around Donegal Bay…
The weather gods kept us dry on a grand night at the league outing with 16 anglers taking part including 2 new members joining up and 2 visiting anglers from South Shore sac. you were all most welcome lads – great to see new faces fish the comps. Plenty of fish in the first hour before the tide started to ebb including 3 double flounder hauls to 40cm for George and flounder to 39cm for Gerry and 38cm for Declan.
Scores were close in the end only 8 points separated the top 2 with first place prize money going to Gerry McBrearty and 2nd place money won by George Dummigan. Longest fish prize was a 48cm pollack for Stefan Martin. Well done to all who took part.
