Some great angling reports have some from County Clare recently where charter boat fishing is providing plenty of thrills…
01 July: Nice and choppy out on the Atlantic today, but calmed a bit as the day went on, and a good day overall for the Lady Gwen II.
The Clare Dragoon was back at the SixGill mark today for the first time in a while and it did not disappoint! Kevin Foley got stuck into one of over 12 feet and estimated at 800lbs. Result!
02 July: Sea still choppy today, but the rain stayed away, and the anglers on Lady Gwen II had a nice day on the Ocean. The Clare Dragoon was out drifting on the reefs, they had lots of Pollack and Mackerel with Cod whiting and some fine Haddock putting in an appearance.
03 July: A nice calm day today,on board Lady Gwen II, with a mixed group of Irish and German anglers. A little soft rain in the afternoon didn’t dampen spirits on a very nice day.
05 July: A perfect day on the sea today for anglers on the Clare Dragoon. They got nice mixed fishing on the reefs. Pollock, Coalfish, Cod, Ling, Haddock, Whiting and Gurnard to the boat.
Go fishing…
