Once again the popular O’Malley Cup proved a success on Ennell last Sunday. It was an incredible day with brilliant sunshine, and flat calm conditions at times. Not the ideal conditions for fly fishing, but the Ennell anglers produced some lovely trout at the 7pm finish.
It was a tight call for first place with Mullingar angler John Tyrrell taking top rod with a trout of 2.382lbs, followed by Noel Farrah with a fish of 2.360lbs. In 3rd place was Rochfortbridge angler Niall Kenny, with Dave McBride taking 4th place.
Presentation took place in Whitebridge Bay, with David and Johnny O, Malley presenting John Tyrrell with O, Malley Cup.
