15 April: Great turn out today for the Open today at Oakland’s. Pity the weather didn’t play it’s bit. Wet and blustery conditions through the match made fishing difficult for all. Big congratulations to young Gareth Anderson from Belfast who made the best of his end peg draw, 32, with a winning bag of 106 lbs. A close second in the peg next door was Attila Paldick with 103 lb. 3rd place went to Thomas Quinlan further down the lake in the deeper water after a great first hour and half finished with 79 lb.
