Camlin and District Anglers report on their Ray Gill Perpetual competition fished from Lanesborough…

25 February: The Ray Gill perpetual competition was held today at Lanesborough. It was a bright brisk day with a chilly east wind to bite at fingers and toes. None the less there was a great turnout of 17 boats. Fishing was tough with only a few boats managing to catch fish.

The results are as follows;
- 1st Joe Mc Dermott and Pat Healy 269.5cm
- 2nd David Roach 218.5cm
- 3rd Lukas Sankiewcz and Piotr Kaczmarek 140cm
- 4th Tony Mac Manus and Steven Lee 127cm

Thanks to Fr. M. Reilly who blessed all the boats at the beginning of the competition. To Tom gill for his help parking, photography and for the sandwiches at the presentations. To Clarke’s Bar Lanesborough and to Geraldine Gill for presenting the trophy.
Well done to all the prize winners and keep an eye on Facebook for future events.
