Gary Chandler reports on Sheemore Angling Association’s recent outings…

18 February: Another wet day fishing today only stopped raining when we packed up as always, but the wind kept off anyway but so did the fish.

The results were.:

  • Robert Howgate. 9lb 00oz
  • Gary Chandler. 6lb 07oz
  • Ian Kelsey. 5lb 01oz
  • Ray Carpenter. 2lb 11 oz
  • Joe van der Spek. 0lb 08oz
  • Malcom Singleton. 0lb 01oz
  • Dave Oddy. DNW
  • Pat Tigwell. DNW
  • Andrew Riley. DNW

So a bit of a poor day for some mostly small fish caught. Ian did manage a nice trout but trout and eels don’t count.

21 February: Blue skies and sunshine for the Wednesday match this week makes a change from hiding under the brolly all day. There were some good fish showing for some too. Here are the results.

  • Robert Howgate. 17lb 08oz
  • Malcolm Singleton. 15lb 11 oz
  • Stuart Lear. 13lb 12oz
  • Joe van der Spek. 11lb 09oz
  • Francis McGoldrick. 10lb 13oz
  • Pat Tigwell. 9lb 05oz
  • Dave Oddy. 7lb 04oz
  • Gary Chandler. 6lb 12oz
  • Ray Carpenter. 4lb 08oz

So some good weights caught and some quality fish as well but as always they were few and far between but we didn’t get wet so happy days.
