Donal Kennedy reports

On Thursday 9th August a German fishing party and friends left Killala Harbour for a day’s fishing on board “LEAH “. The day was overcast with showers promised. Winds were mainly from the North West which made the sea a little choppy. During the  early part of the day fishing was slow but as the day moved on, some nice fish were caught. These included thornback ray, tub gurnard, dab, lesser spotted dogfish, and some fine turbot. Plenty of big mackerel were caught at the end. All returned to Harbour well pleased with the day.
