LOUGH LENE ANGLERS.

Lene Anglers hosted their last evening competition last Friday night, and fishing was tough going, but a few nice fished were presented at the 11pm finish. Karl Owens won with a fine trout of 1.24kg, Paul Curran was 2nd with 1.22kg, and Noel Farrar 3rd with 1.20kg. Lene Chairman presented Karl Owens with Larry Mulligan Cup.

The next competition on Lene will be the Chairman’s Pairs competition come September 30th, and all proceeds from this years competition will be donated towards the MRI Scanner Appeal Mullingar Hospital. More on this competition in the coming weeks.

ELVERY CUP.

Dublin Trout anglers were also in action last Saturday on Lene and fished the Elvery trout fly-fishing competition. 20 Anglers competed on the day with Gerry Heaslip winning with a trout of 5lbs 2oz, Jonathan O, Keeffee had a 4lbs 2oz fish to take 2nd place with Paul Dunne 3rd with 3lbs 8oz.

Lene is worth a trip in the coming weeks, and days Tickets are available priced at 15 Euro
