On Sunday last, Dublin angler, Gary Blake, caught the fish of a lifetime fishing out of Union Hall, Co. Cork when a massive porbeagle took his whiting bait fished close to the boat. What followed was an epic battle for Gary during which the record fish took him nine times around the boat. The fish which measured 75 inches fork length and 59 inches girth was estimated to have a weight of 326 lbs. Well done Gary! This is by far the biggest porbeagle ever caught on the “Loch an Iasc” skippered by Tom Collins of www.seanglingcharters.ie!

Record porbeagle and ‘Fish of the Week’ for Gary Blake
